K.O. Karate Reviews on Yelp |
1/12/2009 " ... If home is where the heart is, then KO
Kung Fu Karate is not only a haven for those seeking physical
and mental fitness but also a second permanent residence for
many of its students. Everyone LOVEs being here and it shows.
Immediately stepping into the school one senses the warmth,
professionalism, and inspirational tone that is set by Master
Ozuna and his truly exceptional staff like the Currans, Dongs,
Kaufmans. These world class athletes will amaze you with their
skills and even more so with their passion and humility. It is
a place where talented individuals from all walks of life
congregate, united by a commitment to the school and its
functions that goes beyond martial arts.
One feels that he/she is a part of something much bigger than
the immediate KO family. The Bok Fu Do system embraces the
physical, philosophical and spiritual aspects of martial arts.
Perfect practice makes perfect. Not me, just we. Good. Good-er.
Good-est (the Master is self-deprecating with his Spanish
fluency and English as a 2nd language). No limitations except
those you place on yourself. Change, evolve, never be stagnant.
Master Ozuna reiterates these simple truths and offers guidance
and support for his students to live up to these principles by
example.
While getting into the best shape of my life in more ways than
just physical, I've also met some of my dearest friends at KO.
This martial arts school is not an island unto itself; it
reaches out to the community with programs like KO CAREs and
takes in those turned away by other schools, like those with
Attention Deficit Disorder. The school motto is that there is
NO student they cannot teach. They have redefined for me what
constitutes a true teacher and have taught me principles that I
apply not only in martial arts but also in my personal and
professional life in medicine. I feel truly fortunate to be a
part of the KO family." Quynh Pham |

9/15/2008 " ... I took sports kickboxing here for a few
months and absolutely LOVED it. The staff is friendly,
amazingly attentive and give you great direction. The classes
are fun, energetic and kick your [butt]!! The class schedules
worked perfectly with my schedule and the membership fees were
affordable. I was bummed to leave this place after moving to
SF, but highly recommend it if your down in the South Bay.
Master John Ozuna and his staff are wonderful!!" Lulu
