Bok Fu Do, or Way of the White Tiger, is a branch of martial arts that has its origins in ancient Chinese Kung Fu. The creator of ancient Bok Fu was a Shaolin monk and Taoist swordsman named Fong Sai Yuk (also known as Fong Do Duk). Fong Sai Yuk also invented a “soft” form of martial arts known today as White Tiger Tai Chi.

Modern Bok Fu, as developed by Grand Master Richard Lee and his students, draws on many styles of martial arts including ancient Bok Fu, northern and southern styles of Shaolin Kung Fu, Okinawan Karate, Jujitsu, Kenpo, and Tae Kwon Do. Each of these styles has influenced
the others as they evolved over the centuries. Grand Master Lee traveled extensively throughout China and the far east to conduct his research in the many schools and philosophies of martial arts. The system he founded, modern Bok-Fu-Do, encompasses the most effective and devastating methods of self-defense known to man.
